Commissions Policy
Thank you for your interest in a custom crochet commission! Please read the following policies carefully before placing your order. By placing a commission, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
1. Commission Availability & Completion Times
Commissions may be placed at any time. However, completion times will vary depending on the complexity of the project, the materials required, and the number of commissions currently in progress.
Any completion date provided is an estimate and is not guaranteed. I will do my best to keep you updated if there are significant changes to the expected completion time.
I reserve the right to decline commission requests that I am unable or unwilling to complete. Additionally, I reserve the right to close commisssions requests temporarily at any given time period.
2. Customization
Commissions may include customized versions of products currently available in the storefront. Customizations may include changes such as color, size, or other agreed-upon design details.
3. Pricing
The final price of a commission will be determined based on the materials, size, complexity, customization, and time required to complete the item.
Any significant changes requested after the commission has been agreed upon may result in an additional charge. I will communicate any additional costs with you before proceeding with the changes.
Shipping costs, when applicable, are separate from the commission price unless otherwise stated.
4. Deposits & Payment
Orders totaling $50 or more require a 25% deposit before work begins.
The deposit is non-refundable and must be paid before I begin working on your commission. No exceptions.
The remaining balance is due upon completion and before the item is shipped.
A commission will not be considered complete for delivery until the required balance has been paid.
5. Cancellations
Because commissions are made specifically for each customer, cancellations may be subject to the following:
- If you cancel before work has begun, any required non-refundable deposit will not be returned.
- Once work has begun, additional payments may not be refundable because materials and labor have already been committed to your order.
- If you request to cancel after work has begun, I reserve the right to retain payments already made to cover materials, time, and work completed.
6. Changes to a Commission
Please make sure your requested colors, sizes, and other design details are correct before work begins.
Minor changes may be possible before or during the creation process, depending on the stage of the project. Significant changes requested after work has begun may require additional payment and may extend the completion time.
Once a commission has been completed, changes cannot be made without placing a new order or paying any applicable modification fee.
7. Finished Orders & 30-Day Claim Period
Once your commission is completed, you have 30 days to place your order and claim your finished item.
If an order has not been placed within 30 days of completion, you will no longer be entitled to the product. I reserve the right to list the completed item in the storefront and make it available for purchase by the public.
If you anticipate being unable to claim your completed item within the 30-day period, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss the situation.
8. Shipping
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address.
Once a package has been shipped, I am not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, or packages that are lost after being marked as delivered. Please ensure your address and information are correct.
9. Returns & Exchanges
All commission sales are final. Because commissioned items are made specifically for each customer, I do not accept returns or exchanges due to a change of mind, replacement request, or other changes in personal preference.
However, if I make a significant error with your commission or the item arrives with a serious issue caused by my workmanship, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your order so I can review the issue and determine an appropriate resolution.
10. Photos & Social Media
I may photograph completed commissions for record-keeping, promotional purposes, or use on my storefront and social media.
If you do not want your completed commission photographed or posted publicly, please let me know before or when placing your order.
11. Commission Approval
Before work begins, I may confirm the requested design, colors, size, price, and other relevant details with you.
Once the commission has been approved and work has begun, changes to the original request may result in additional charges or an extended completion time.
13. Final Agreement
By placing a commission order, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Crochet Commission Policy.
I reserve the right to update these policies as needed. Any policy changes will apply to future commissions and will not retroactively change the terms of an already-approved commission.
Thank you!
